General Terms and Conditions of Sale

 

Please see below a short summary of our terms and conditions, when you are ordering from our website. These terms and conditions does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. Please read this carefully. By submitting an order on this web site you are agreeing to the terms, that appear below which will apply to any purchase made on this web site.

 

General

We will confirm acceptance of your order. This will occur either by message on the website immediately after you have confirmed your order, or by us sending an e-mail to the email address you have provided to us. At this point the purchase contract will be made and we will supply the goods to you in accordance with your order and these Terms and Conditions.

Until we have received payment for our goods, they remain the property of A Tavola Delicatessen Ltd, even though you may actually have them.  We can demand them back, even if that means asking you to return our fine food!

 

Delivery

If you are local, you can order and pay online and collect from the store and avoid delivery charges altogether.

We deliver throughout the UK mainland, using a reliable courier.  

Delivery will be made to the address specified by you when you register on the website or place the order.

Please make sure you are in, on your requested delivery date, especially if you are ordering perishable goods. We cannot be held responsible for non-delivery and spoilage of goods if you are not in on the requested date.  

We can take special requests for delivery (i.e. leave with neighbours).  These will be passed on to our couriers, but there is no guarantee that our couriers will honour these – many of them do not because of their risk of loss and claim. Typically, they will attempt to re-deliver the next day or leave an option to collect from their most local access point to you. In summary, any such request, there is no obligation to fulfil this and if such a request is honoured, the risk lies with the customer for any subsequent loss or perishing of the goods.

Orders (subject to stock) are dispatched same day if received before 10 am or next working day when received after 10 am.  Delivery is usually next working day from dispatch  – however, this is not a guaranteed timed delivery (if you need a guaranteed delivery, please call us for a quote). 

We do not despatch on a Friday or on Bank Holidays, Saturdays and Sundays. 

 

We package our goods with chilled packs, which keep goods cool for up to 36 hours. You must ensure that you will be in, to receive delivery as the insulation will only hold for 36 hours from the time of despatch – we can accept no responsibility for the perishing of goods if you are not in to receive them.

 

Currently we deliver to mainland UK only.

Please note adverse weather conditions or other events outside of our reasonable control may result in the occasional late or cancelled delivery. If that is the case we will endeavour to contact you as soon as we are able to in order to reschedule your delivery time and date. In any event our liability to you will be limited to the price of goods not delivered and the cost of delivery.

 

Should you fail to be present for your delivery we are entitled to charge you in full for an amount equal to the cost of perishable items contained in your order and the cost of delivery.

 

Age Restrictions

Some of our products have age restrictions. Alcohol can only be purchased by, and for, individuals aged 18 and over. Liquor chocolates can only be purchased by and for individuals over 16 years of age. By placing an order for any of these products or services you confirm that you (and, if different, the recipient of the product and/or service) satisfy the age requirements necessary to buy that product or service. Transactions involving alcohol may only be made during normal licensing hours.

 

Minimum Order

There are no minimum order qty.

 

Prices

The price of the goods will be as quoted on the web site at the time you confirm your order (usually by clicking the "checkout" button) subject only to any inadvertent technical error for which we will not be liable. If you subsequently amend your order, the prices charged will be those applicable to the amended item(s)at the time that the amended order is confirmed. Please note that as promotions are offered for a limited period of time subsequent amendments to your order may mean that certain promotions are no longer being offered.

All prices quoted are inclusive of any Value Added or other tax

The price of the goods does not include a charge for delivery.

 

Payment

We accept credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), WorldPay, direct credit transfer into our bank or pay on collection for the items collected at the store. (Please note that we do not accept American Express).

You agree to indemnify us in full against all costs expenses and outgoings incurred by us in obtaining payments from you in the event a failed payment occurs. This will include an administration charge of not less than £20. We may at any time after a failed payment has occurred ask a debt collection agency to collect payment from you.

 

Returns

If any product arrives in less than acceptable condition, please advise us within 24 hours via email to info@atavola.uk. Any claims received later than 24 hours, will not be accepted. We will replace or refund any product that arrives in less than acceptable condition. If you are unhappy with any purchase, please let us know; we want you to be happy with your purchase and will do what we can to ensure your satisfaction.

We will always try to supply you with the full quantity that you have ordered. In the event that the goods delivered to you are incomplete or include incorrect goods, you must notify us promptly. If you are not satisfied with the quantity you have received we will arrange with you for these goods to be returned to us (please note that the goods must not be used and must be in good condition). You will not be charged for any incorrect goods or goods which you have not received. In any event, our liability will be limited to the price of the goods not delivered or incorrectly delivered and the cost of delivery.

 

If you would need additional information about any item, do not hesitate to contact us. Do let us know if you have any allergies and we will try to do our best to meet your dietary requirements.

Errors and omissions excepted please note, that we might in unintentional error, describe or price an item incorrectly. We will not be bound by the consequences of these errors. If something seems incorrect or too good to be true, please let us know, to enable us to check out the accuracy.
